Knowledge Management Wiki
 
A KnowledgeManagementWiki is used by organisations (corporations) to increase the availability of knowledge that is necessary for successful operation. The need is usually urgent to improve but there are a large number of technical and social obstacles to overcome to make this happen.

The most important difficulty seems to be that there is a paradoxical situation: employees are often hired for their unique abilities and knowledge and they have no fundamental interest to give away this advantage. This is the very general problem "to get the knowledge from the experts". There must be a positive corporate culture or special incentives must exist to create a flow of knowledge into any knowledge management system. This is not a wiki problem. But Wiki provides a clue to possible solutions by its communication culture.
