Leaf Name

The LeafName is the last part of a PageName. The parts of a PageName are defined to be separated by slashes "/".

Derived facts:

  • Each page has a LeafName.
  • Many pages may share the same LeafName.
  • A TopPage has only one part: its LeafName is identical to its PageName.
Note: ProWiki allows to bind certain options - most prominently edit rights - to the LeafName of a page. Examples: the ContextPages are protected this way; you can make Article-SubPages more protected or Discussion-SubPages less protected than their parents by using a single TopConfiguration Option/StatusForEdit.
