Templates are always handled and changed with care because a fundamental problem in the HTML code can damage the whole WikiRenderingProcess. So you test a template usually before you configure it.
If you still run into a problem, you can use the ActionParameter/Template to use one of the standard templates. This is a change you have to do in the command line:
